About Us
We are David and Amy Darnell, owners of 10-Acre Woods Cockapoos. We have raised our three children in our home just south of Bristow. Now that our children are grown, and we have more free time, we’ve devoted ourselves to our favorite hobby; raising high-quality puppies. Our journey began with Romeo, a miniature poodle, and Juliet, a parti-colored cocker spaniel. Romeo and Juliet were a perfect match, and that's how it all started!
Cockapoos are known for their affectionate nature, trainability, occasional mischievousness, and their irresistible teddy bear-like appearance. We raise our puppies inside our home, giving them plenty of love and attention, and treating each one like a member of the family. As our passion has grown into a successful business, we are expanding our program to include Australian Mountain Doodles, as well as the adorable Cockapoos, thus changing our name to 10 ACRE WOOD PUPS!
The very first litter of Cockapoos were born in 2020; a year that brought many unexpected challenges for everyone. This litter consisted of three boys and three girls, and to add a little fun during a tough time, we named them "The Brady Bunch Litter". Since then, we have continued the tradition of giving each litter a unique and playful theme. These themes not only make it easier for families to follow each puppy’s journey, but they also add a special touch to the adoption process, making it even more memorable for everyone involved.
